Other yoga classes

This list was started by Alyson Tylor who taught yoga in Aberystwyth for many years. It is now maintained here with kind permission. It covers all known yoga classes in Aberystwyth and the surrounding area.

If possible, contact the teacher in advance to check details etc, before turning up for the first time. There may be changes which we don’t know about or the classes may be full.

If you are confused by this very long list and don’t know which class would be suitable for you, contact us and we’ll be more than happy to recommend the ones we think would be best for your needs, level etc.

Monday  – 10.15- 11.30 am Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga with Lindsay – starting from 10th September, see Kamala Yoga Cymru Facebook page.
Monday – 2-3:30pm Introduction to yoga with Richard Adamo (at Aberystwyth University sports centre) – restarts in September.
Monday – 4-5pm Yoga for kids with Rosanna Carless (at same venue) (ages 7-12, plus parents)

Sunday –  AcroYoga (that’s us!) 6pm-7:30pm Acroyoga Foundations Class (basics, structures, techniques, etc) suitable for beginners and regulars, followed by AcroYoga Jam for freestyle practice. At Quaker’s Hall, Penparcau. Check out our Aber Acro Yoga group on Facebook or contact us through our website. Sometimes impromptu sessions outside during the week, weather permitting.

Ariel yoga (in big hammock sling things) – usually Thur/Fri classes, with Ali – see her Facebook page for information and booking (Penparcau, Aberystywth). This is great for supported inversions and other poses are adapted to be supported e.g. downward dog – see this brief video for an idea of what it is.
