A set of 6 classes, Sunday’s, 6.30 – 8pm @Llanbadarn Church Hall.
Acroyoga is an incredibly fun, collaborative way to connect with your body and with other people. It has some amazing side-effects too like laughter, building trust, making friends, getting fitter and more flexible and defying your own expectations.
Our six-week course (6th January to 13th March) will introduce you to the wonderful world of acroyoga. We will take you through the basics of flying, basing, swirling, and hanging around upside down. Classes move through a fun warm up, partner drills, learning acro yoga positions, poses and how to get in and out of them, spotting skills, therapeutic partner stretches and massage.
Expect lots of giggles, teamwork, a bit of challenge and to surprise yourself. There is a chance you will catch the acro-bug as well, acroyoga can be addictive, don’t say we didn’t warn you! This foundation course will have you all prepared to join in with regular classes, jam sessions, or some of the many exciting acro events happening in and outside of West Wales.
Who is this for?
Everyone! Whether you’ve had a go before and want a refresher, or you are totally new to it. You can come with or without a partner, we’ll be playing in groups of 3 or more.
- What if I am not that good at/ haven’t done/ don’t like normal yoga?

- What if I’m too old….?
Does being dirty stop you having a shower? No ones starts these things thinking they are bendy, strong, brave and techically brilliant either – they are built with practice. The best way to train for acroyoga is to do acroyoga! There are acroyogis of all shapes, sizes, abilities and ages, everyone can have fun with this. Experience with different forms of movement (yoga, martial arts, dance etc) may well help, but are far from essential. Believe it or not some challenging-looking yoga poses are actually easier when you work together with a partner. Acroyoga is a journey not a destination, come and travel along with us!
Acroyoga is a high-contact activity where trust is extremely important. You do not have to attend in a household ‘bubble’, but we will take sensible precautions to limit the number of people you practice closely with in class. We ask that participants agree to:
- Take regular lateral flow tests and report any positive results to us.
- Do not come to class if you are unwell (we will make every effort to offer a replacement class when it is safe to do so).
- Abide by the venue guidelines: wearing masks in communal areas when not exercising, hand santiser etc.
